Dr Peter V. Aghatanious, Osteopath

Dr Peter Aghatanious is the founder of Reservoir Osteopathic Clinic and is as driven and motivated a person that you will ever meet. Peter is always on the go and understands how frustrating injury or illness can be, so he is determined to help his patients get on with their (busy) lives as soon as possible. Peter uses a wide range of techniques to ensure an effective approach to treating each individual and has a particular interest in sports injuries, headaches and the 'too hard basket' injuries Peter has a back ground in Australian Rules Football, weight training, martial arts and running and has competed at an elite levels in some of these sports. In his spare time, Peter loves to spend time with family and friends, chatting and having a laugh and you can expect the same during your consultation with this highly professional but laid back and approachable Osteopath.

Dr Briana Martin-Bashtannyk, Osteopath

Briana is a passionate and committed Osteopath who found her love for Osteopathy through a life long involvement in the sporting field. After completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, her interest in human anatomy and physiology grew, leading her to further studies in Osteopathy. She has a strong belief in the holistic principals associated with diagnosis and treatment and recognises the individual circumstances surrounding each case. Briana has a wide range of interest in all conditions presented to the clinic, and through a combination of hands on therapy, dry needling and taping, strives to have her patients functioning at their best. In her spare time Briana works at the Coburg Football Club as their head trainer, as well as participating in a variety of sports herself.

Dr. Wen Yi (Winnie) Lee, Osteopath
B.App.Sci. (CompMed), M. Osteo, Member of the Australian Osteopathic Association

Winnie is an outgoing structural Osteopath who found her “hands” in a variety of sports related injuries and growing pains as a kid herself. As a patient and later as a practicing osteopath she was enamoured by the variety of treatment methods used in Osteopathy and the tailored, hands on approach to a problem. She enjoys treating people of all ages and varying conditions and understands the need to custom fit a treatment to a patient which may include dry needling and taping. As a former coach and sports trainer in swimming and netball, she understands the need for patients to get back up on their feet and work or play at their very best and preventing re-injury. Outside of work Winnie is a keen swimmer and hiker and can often be found out and about roaming her favourite tracks and has recently hiked in and around the Annapurnas in Nepal.

Dr. Nathan Deery, Osteopath
B.App.Sci. (Osteopathy), Member of the Australian Osteopathic Association

Nathan graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) with Honours, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Human Structure and Function from The University of Melbourne. Growing up in the country Nathan is a passionate lover of all sports and has always had an interest in sporting injuries and been fascinated by how the body works. This keen interest in the human body and its function led Nathan to his career in Osteopathy. Nathan enjoys treating a wide variety of clients, from athletes to office workers. He believes that movement is the key to optimal outcomes and as such he strives to empower his clients to be active in their own recovery by prescribing home exercise programs. This exercise prescription together with his hands-on treatment and lifestyle advice enables Nathan to achieve excellent results for his clients. Outside of the clinic, Nathan spends his weekends passionately supporting West Brunswick Football club (when not too busy handling injuries), attending live music and enjoying great food and drink around the city.

Dr. James Nitsikas, Podiatrist
B.App.Sci. , M. Pod. Prac, Member of the Australian Osteopathic Association

James graduated from La Trobe University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Podiatric Practice. He has a strong interest in many aspects of Podiatry including Diabetes Management, Lower limb biomechanics, sports related injuries and nail surgery. James incorporates numerous podiatric techniques into clinical practice such as dry needling, foot mobilisation/manipulation and orthotic intervention. He believes in appropriate footwear and muscle strengthening within the lower limb and foot to prevent and rehabilitate foot and lower limb injures. James also offers home visits for clients who find it difficult to leave their own homes. In his spare time, James enjoys keeping fit, and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Piccolo MAPS, Psychologist
B.App.Sci(Psych) Grad.Dip(Psych) M.App.Psych(Sport & Exercise)

Working across sporting and non-sporting populations, Mark enjoys the opportunity to assist all clients along their journey by providing both general and sport psychology services. Mark graduated with a Master of Applied Psychology specialising in Sport and Exercise from the University of Queensland in 2014 and has worked with both adolescents and adults across a range of different areas including performance, anxiety, stress, depression, pain management, injury rehabilitation, exercise adherence, sleep, communication, and confidence issues. Having worked with athletes from AFL, Soccer, and Golf to name a few, Mark understands that a holistic perspective to treatment and working collaboratively is important in achieving positive outcomes. Outside of his practice, Mark works at the Victorian Institute of Sport in an athlete support role. Mark is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a Member of the Australia Psychological Society.

Dr. David Edwards
BAppSc (ChinMed), BHSc

David holds a double degree in Chinese Medicine and Health Science with Distinction from RMIT University. He has clinical experience in Melbourne and China’s Jiangsu provincial hospital of Chinese medicine (a major hospital that treats over 4 million people each year). David is experienced in supporting a wide range of health problems including headaches, chronic stress and pain related concerns, anxiety, digestive complaints, fatigue, weight gain and men’s and women’s health. David has a special interest in peak mental and physical performance and is an author of two eBooks the barefoot guide to getting fit for beginners and the pocketbook guide to Chinese medicine, treatment and painless cures.

George Ochana, Sports Therapist
Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy

George holds an advanced diploma in sports therapy, he specializes in exercise principles to optimize performance, preparation and injury prevention. Along with the ability to assess, treat and provide the immediate care of injuries/dysfunctional movements. He can also prescribe a range of corrective exercises which will help the client reduce pain, improve range of motion and prevent further Injury. George also holds a Strength and Conditioning level 1 certificate where he can help correct postures and dysfunctional movement but also help strengthen the clients to maintain the new position acquired, most rehabilitation programs have a clear implemented plan. George also holds wide experience in the medical field as he previously studied Health Science and Biomedical Science before making the switch to sports therapy, along with experience by working as a sports trainer at Epping Football club and Moreland united. Experiences through university include North Melbourne (AFL) and Melbourne Marathon at the MCG.
